Our Name

THE LANGUAGE OF CONNECTION

T

he name Union Station Therapy came from listening to our couples.

When couples describe a rupture, we hear it again and again: "It felt like we suddenly derailed." When individuals talk about misalignment: "Sandy was going north and I was on the southbound train." Business leaders ask: "What was causing smart people to make decisions that sent their companies off the rails?"

These aren't isolated phrases. This is the language of our collective unconscious when we speak about connection, direction, and shared purpose.

Train journeys and union stations hold archetypal power. They require alignment—the same track, the same direction, synchronized timing. They demand commitment to a shared destination. Union stations are places of convergence, where different lines meet, where people come together, where journeys begin and reunite.

We work to repair the tracks when there's been a derailment. We help realign when partners find themselves on different trains. We examine what causes intelligent people to make choices that send relationships off course.

Like a union station offers infrastructure and guidance for travelers, we serve as professional guides on the path toward healthier, more intentional relationships.

Union represents the deepest longing of the human soul: to move beyond separateness and discover profound connections that bind us to ourselves, to one another, and to something greater.

Union Station Therapy was conceived as a metaphor/symbol and

from a deeply personal place of loss, and overcoming,

and restoration.  This practice was founded from a gap and lacking in

expertise and specialization in the mental health field.

A need for  a serious , science-backed expert -- a true rarity to find especially when coming to therapy (as most couples do) already in crisis. A practice that provides more than 'feel-good' therapy where old unhelpful patterns are not challenged , but validated.

In our therapy practice , we have witnessed three levels of union being restored: union with self (integrating our scattered parts befriending our heart and emotional world), union with others (moving beyond isolation to authentic intimacy), and union with the divine (recognizing we belong to something infinitely larger than ourselves).

At Union Station Therapy our practice is a place where individual journeys intersect and where personal transformation occurs alongside relational renewal and new paths of heartening connection.

We welcome you to our practice and hope to be walking with you just for a bit on this next pivotal, important and delicate chapter.

Our Values & Commitments

THE SANCTITY OF RELATIONSHIP

We don't treat everything. We specialize in relational work because mastery requires focus.

RELATIONSHIP AS A PATH

We see relationship as a place of growth, where people are shaped over time through challenge, repair, and connection. The couples who do this work are building something, and we are honored to walk alongside them.

PRESENCE

We value the willingness to stay, especially when it would be easier to withdraw. In the therapy room and in the relationship itself, showing up fully is one of the most courageous things a person can do.

RESPONSIBILITY

We believe in owning your impact while remaining open to the other. Lasting relational change asks each person to look honestly at themselves and take meaningful accountability for their part in the dynamic.

CARE

We hold care as something active, expressed through attention, effort, and consistency. In the relationships we work with and in the therapy itself, care is something you show over time.
